THE VENUE

Since 1940, the building at 1099 Euclid Ave in the Little Five Points neighborhood of Atlanta has been one of the premier entertainment locations in the city. Although it has worn many hats over the years, from movie house to performance space to community gathering location, since the 80’s it has maintained a sharp focus on live music events.

Variety Playhouse has earned its reputation as one of the best spots in town to catch a show, meet up with friends, and see your favorite band. A full venue renovation in 2016 improved the venue experience for patrons and bands alike, while maintaining the charm and acoustical integrity that concert-goers have enjoyed for decades.

What is Variety Playhouse all about?

The Variety Playhouse is a live music venue featuring artists from a wide range of genres. Our seating includes a mixture of theater-style seats, dancing and standing areas, and a lowered front pit in front of the stage. For certain shows, we may have additional tables and chairs set throughout the venue. We offer food, snacks, a full bar, and the best live music in the city.

Do you have seating?

The majority of our shows are general admission. There are permanent fixed seats on both levels of the venue, but for GA shows these are first-come first-serve - arrive early if you want to make sure to get a seat! If you have an injury or health issue that makes it hard to stand, please give us a call and we'll take care of you. We want everyone to be able to enjoy their favorite band, no matter what!
Do you allow weapons?

No weapons of any kind are permitted inside our facility (this includes any sort of pocket or utility knife), we ask you please leave them at home. All guest are screened through metal detectors prior to entry, and we have an Atlanta Police Officer on duty for all shows.
Do you host private events at your venue?

If I'm under 18, can I come to a show at VP?

Generally, all shows are All Ages unless otherwise stated. If you’re not sure about the age policy for a particular show, please contact the venue via phone or email.
Is food offered at the venue?

Light snacks are available for purchase at the bar!

Can I bring a backpack?

We do not allow full size backpacks, and all bags are subject to search.
If a show says sold out online, are there tickets held for the door?

No, we don't hold tickets for the door. Sold out is sold out.
How can I avoid online service fees?

Buy your tickets directly from us at the box office. It's open during all shows and Mon-Fri, 2-6pm. We cannot sell tickets over the phone.
What ticketing company do you use?

Our ticketing is powered by AXS.
What is your capacity?

1100 for general admission shows, which feature a mix of standing and fixed seating areas. For certain genres, we may add additional seating and tables in various layout, which lowers the overall capacity.
Is Variety Playhouse a Cashless Venue?

We no longer accept cash. Our box office currently accepts the following forms of payment: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and ApplePay.
Do you allow smoking in the venue?

Smoking is not allowed inside, but we have an outdoor smoking patio.
Can I take pictures at the show?

The photo policy can change based on the event. If you’d like to inquire about a specific event’s policy, please call 404-524-7354 the afternoon of the show.
Can you scan my ticket off my phone if I wasn't able to print it off?

Where should I park?

There is a paid lot behind the venue that may fill up for busy shows. There is both paid and street parking around the venue, but it is first-come first-serve. Arrive early to make sure you’ll get a good spot, or take an Uber / Lyft / cab.
Is there a specific accessible entryway or are all entries accessible?

The main entry is accessible.
Where are the ADA viewing areas?

For general admission shows, there are front corrals on the left and right sides for ADA viewing. For reserved seating shows, seats are sold as ADA in the front and third corrals.
Are there specific ADA restrooms? If so, where are they?

Restrooms on the first level have accessible stalls.
Is ADA parking available? If so, generally where are they located?

There is ADA parking in the paid lot one block from the venue.
What does an individual need to do if they need interpreter services?

To request a sign language interpreter, please email us at: hello@variety-playhouse.com. We kindly ask that you submit your request at least two weeks prior to the concert date. This allows us adequate time to secure the services of a qualified interpreter. While we will do our best to accommodate late requests, advance notice is greatly appreciated.
